Another good day down on the Bellarine Peninsula.  Thanks again to Nikki Smith for her help yet again and great to catch up with Vanessa and Adam and hear the continuing tales of Stampy and Hlane.  Show wise, another successful day for Juneau winning Best of Breed and marching towards her Australian Title.  Luca came through and picked up Challenge Dog and Best Puppy in Group to cap off a great day.

THE ROYAL MELBOURNE 2009

Another Royal Melbourne Show has come and gone with some great results again for Bernation.  We entered a wide number of classes this year and have to thank Nicki Smith for her tireless support and assistance and also that of Wendy and Dana for their professional handling and help on the day and days leading up to the royal.

Results:

Luca came up trumps with a win of his Puppy class followed by Best Puppy of Breed which got him a return on Saturday for the Best Puppy in Show run offs.  He finished Top 4 in show for the Puppy Group, an outstanding effort by him and Wendy and well done to both.

On the Thursday Bernation Benson, owned by Rachel and Dion came in first in his minor puppy class with many great comments about his size and bone.

Juneau again showed her class by winning her age group with Yabbadabado finishing third in the same group.

Sharni came in second in her age group with Raj finishing third in his.

In all 3 breed age group wins and top four in Puppy group was a fine day after a long lead up.  Bit of pressure coming now to see who is top dog in the kennel.

Well done to all winners and another fine day of socialising and professionalism shown by all those involved in the Bernese Community.

BERNATION TAJ GETS HIS FIRST POINTS!!

Thats right Bernation Taj, owned and much loved by Carolyn got his first "Best of Breed" against some good opposition at Bulla at the Werribee - Barwon Kennel Club in August.  Congratulations to Taj and Carolyn for their hard work and success and look forward to seeing more of it in the coming months.

BERNATION JUNEAU WINS BEST OF BREED AT UTILITYDOG SHOW AT KCC

After her good showing at the Specialty, Juneau has gone on to win Best at Breed at the Utility Specialty Show at KCC on the 26th of July 2009.  Beating a number of older dogs and bitches, Juneau is performing and behaving at exceptional levels to pull off some very good wins around the state.  In the members comp, both her and her sister Yabbadabado won Best of Breed and Runner Up respectively making it a good day for the Bernation group.  Congratulations to everyone for a good day all round with Bernation Benson winning his class in the Members Comp and Bernation Eiger making an appearance and getting some high praise in his first performance as an adult.  He may be reappearing at a few shows later this year with a bit of luck.  To Nicky, Caroline, Wendy and Dana who helped on the day and in the lead up to the show,  well done and thanks again for your help and support.

BERNATION JUNEAU WINS BEST PUPPY IN GROUP AT SHEP

To follow up her win at the specialty, Bernation Juneau took out Best of Breed and Best Puppy in Group at the Shepparton Show in July 2009.  With Raj taking out Best Male, barking rights went to Juneau by beating a number of dogs to the Best of Breed followed by Best Puppy in Group.  Fingers crossed, another in show win is not far away for her.

SHARNI GETS HER TITLE

The title of Australian Champion is now worn proudly by Bernation Dream Weaver, or Sharni as she is known to us.

Capping off a great year for the girl was a runner up best in show at Myrtleford where 500+ dogs attended.  She has been fantastic in the show ring and a dream to live with.

Celebrations all round for Bernation as Sharni joins her brother Bogart as another titled dog.  Thanks to Nicky Smith for her support, Tim and Mez for their encouragement and the great group of friends that has developed in the show field.
